“unnie, please
hurry up or I’ll be late for the rehearsal!” shouted MiYoung from the porch.
“arasso arasso,
give me 5 minutes,”
MinJee is always
late. She has that lazy fat ass to move around. All she loves to do is eat and
sleep. But somehow her eating habits encouraged her to learn how to cook since
she couldn’t always depend on xiumin, food stalls and restaurants to provide
her with delicious food.
After 10
minutes, MinJee was ready and drove her baby sister to the auditorium. MiYoung
asked MinJee to follow her in since she needed some moral support from her
older sister for her rehearsal. MiYoung doesn’t have stage fright, unlike her
sister but there’s this one particular guy who made her feel nervous but at the
same time he is also her strength to be up on stage. the guy is the charismatic
director, Suho.
“okay casting
gather up,” called Suho to all his casting.
The castings
start to gather up and listen carefully to Suho’s instruction. MinJee sat
herself in one of the middle seat area. She chose to seat in bright place so
her baby sister could see her. If she sits in the dark place, what’s the
purpose of coming? LOL
“we have some
changes since I received a bad news from SeKyung’s parent’s. she wouldn’t be
the lead for this play,” informed Suho.
Everyone starts
to whisper to each other. They were worried about Sekyung but at the same time
they were glad she wouldn’t have to be in the play. One of them voice out “then
who will be the lead and replace Sekyung?” again everyone starts to look at
each other wondering who will be picked or they’ll just end the play because
Sekyung couldn’t make it.
“don’t worry,
after discussing with the production team, we’ve decided to postpone the show
date to next week due to this problem and MiYoung will be the replacement for
Sekyung’s part,” smiled Suho while informing to the others. He smiled to
everyone but Miyoung. MinJee who was sitting in the audience area suddenly jump
and clap excitedly “CHULKAHAE YUYUNGIE~!!!”
All eyes were on
MinJee. Miyoung made a sign telling MinJee to be quiet. Her big sister can be
so childish sometimes that will embarrass her. Then all eyes were back on MiYoung,
they congratulate her too by patting her back. Kai, the main actor for the play
showed her thumbs up as an encouragement to be his pair in the play. The casts
and crew were surprised it was MiYoung since she was only one of the back
dancers but one of the best. It was better MiYoung than the arrogant stuck up
Sekyung.
MiYoung bowed to
Suho as a sign of thank you. She couldn’t be happier to be the lead. It’s her
dream and she didn’t expect it to come this early. This way, she could be
closer to Suho because usually lead casts will have the privilege to discuss
their part with the director.
After dismissing
their little meeting, Suho approached MiYoung and gave her a handful of script
for the main character, Chunhyang.
“make sure you
get all the dialogues right by tomorrow. We’ll have a minor practice, scene by
scene. Tomorrow will be scene 1 to 6. So make sure you cover it all by today,”
after explaining to MiYoung he hold her shoulder when he realize MiYoung’s eyes
were almost teary. She suddenly felt the pressure and it was too hard for her
to handle alone.
“don’t worry,
you can do this. Take this as your first stepping stone. If you managed to get
through the first one, the other stepping stones will be easy for you,” said
Suho to his new main cast. He really hopes the word of encouragement that he
gave would lighten up the spirit in MiYoung.
After processing
Suho’s words in her mind, MiYoung nodded and wiped her teary eyes. MinJee who
saw the whole thing felt touched by Suho. The way he approached her little
sister was just exactly how a gentleman should be. Like how her bestfriend
Xiumin always did to her. And now she could feel his absence.
“you may go back
now. Director-nim said that he’ll let you rest for today and study the new
script. If you need any help with it, don’t hesitate to ring me,” said Kai to
MiYoung. He pitied Miyoung and at the same time he worried for her. Since he
already covered the whole play with Sekyung, to lead MiYoung wouldn’t be a
problem.
“thank you
Kai-ssi. I will ring you if I need help,” giggled MiYoung at the word ‘ring’.
MiYoung walk
towards MinJee who was busy with her phone. She was tweeting about how she
missed her bestfriend and starts to look at their selcas and smiled alone like
an idiot.
“unnie, let’s
go. I need to finish reading all this and memorize the lines,” said MiYoung
nervously. She was worried if she couldn’t
get it done by tomorrow.
“could we
atleast have brunch? I am friggin hungry here. You need to work with a happy
tummy too. Come, let’s go to Ahjumma’s hut,”
“arassoooo,”
The sisters
drove their self to The Ahjumma’s Hut and ordered the usual once seated.
“unnie, do you
think I could do this?,” asked MiYoung to her sister. She sounded so worried
“kwenchana,
you’ll do just fine. You’re Kim MiYoung. You are good at this and you know it!
I will forever be your No.1 fan and support you at any stake,” MinJee gave her
little sister some moral support to make sure her sister keeps the passion she
has for acting.
